drive letters change after using Startup disk - UPDATE

NETSCAPE trouble
I have tried running a fix on both IE 5.5 and 6.0 - did not help. I have also installed the latest video driver for my card and the latest CD rom driver. I have not been able to find any specific pattern when it freezes, but I am starting to suspect that is happens more on ASP pages than anywhere else. Please Help!

It would not run as I would get a bus error. With the old directory of netscape 4.5 it would load ok but would crash on certain java web sites. Trying to connect to wood's website (Grand Rapid TV station) freezes Netscape. All my Netscape windows become white as there is no more refreshing of the screen.

How can I tell which version of windows 98 is installed in my computer.Its aH/P computer bought in 1998, but was sent for repair and upgrades last year, a boot in the RUN program its "winipcfg", then hit release,then renew,then ok.But that only works to help computer find IP address, not the freezing.

... location you installed your threaded tcl/tk? Of course some notes on threaded tcl/tk: I am not sure if thread-enabled tk works under unix. I may be wrong, but last time I checked with version 8.2.something, tk just freezes after some minutes. I have the idea that thread-enabled tk works ok only under windows.
